The Top 16 players in points who meet the "2+2 Rule" and the 15.0 Handicap Cap earn a spot in the Cup.
Qualification rules may change, dependent on league feedback and majority voting.
The Great Divide — Snake Seeding
To ensure total equity, the Top 16 are split into a strict snake pattern — 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16 vs 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15
The Front 9: "The Brotherhood"
Eight matches of Lake Duos vs. Peak Duos.
Each team divides its players into duos.
Lowest Net Score from each duo counts as the team score for the hole.
The duo leading after 9 holes earns 1 Full Point for their team. A tie = 0.5 points each.
The Back 9: "The Gauntlet"
The duos dissolve. It is eight separate 1v1 battles, strictly Lake vs. Peak. Each individual victory earns 1 Full Point for the team.
The "Beehive" Finish — Tie-Breaker
First to 8.5 Points hoists the Cup.
The Draw (8–8): If the score is dead even, the preferred tiebreaker is a 1v1 sudden death playoff hole at the course's hardest handicap hole. If the course does not permit a playoff, the champion is then decided on the practice green via the Putt-Off.
Each team selects one shooter to represent them.
A ball marker is placed 15 feet from a chosen pin.
Sudden death. A coin toss determines who putts first.
If the first shooter misses and the second makes it, the Cup is won. If both make or both miss, the marker moves back and we repeat until a winner is crowned.
The "Champions Challenge" — The Overflow
~$500 split between the top 3 finishers of the Champions Challenge.
While the Top 16 battle for the Cup, the rest of the league competes in an 18-hole Net Stableford shootout for the Challenge Medal. Every player has skin in the game on the final day.
